Roshi Paul Genki Kahn, LCSW, DCSW, CBC is a mental health professional and psychotherapist who has created and directed innovative programs in disadvantaged areas throughout his career. As a Spiritual leader for many years he is open to an interfaith and secular community. He is founder of Zen Garland: A Community & Order for Zen Practice, Education, Healing & Service. He is father of two grown children.

Meeting Dr. Joanne Cacciatore and learning about her work and the MISS Foundation deeply moved and inspired Paul. He is a certified Provider in Compassionate Bereavement Care granted from the MISS Foundation, the Elisabeth Keebler-Ross Family Trust and the Center for Loss and Trauma founded and directed by Dr. Joanne Cacciatore.
Paul and Monika founded the Bereavement Center For Child Death as an affiliate of the MISS Foundation.



Marion Kharem, LCSW-R, CBC specializes in the treatment of trauma and dissociative disorders. She has provided psychotherapy to individuals, groups, couples and families for over 25 years. She is certified as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), one of the first mindfulness-based treatment modalities and is a certified Provider in Compassionate Bereavement Care granted from the MISS Foundation, the Elisabeth Keebler-Ross Family Trust and the Center for Loss and Trauma founded and directed by Dr. Joanne Cacciatore.

She is mother of two grown children and many grand-children.




Monika Kahn CBC, holds a Swiss master degree in Adult Education, is certified in Psycho-Somatic Counseling and is a certified Provider in Compassionate Bereavement Care granted from the MISS Foundation, the Elisabeth Keebler-Ross Family Trust and the Center for Loss and Trauma founded and directed by Dr. Joanne Cacciatore. Monika Kahn is a Meditation Teacher and is specialized in pastoral Counseling, Healing and Mindfulness practices and rituals.





Jackie Tamke, CBC, holds a BA in psychology. She has worked in the human resources field for nearly 30 years working with people from diverse backgrounds. She has been a volunteer for the last several years with family Promise, an organization whose goal it is to help homeless and low income families achieve independence.

Jackie is a certified HOPE (Helping Other Parents Endure) mentor and a certified Provider in Compassionate Bereavement Counseling and Care through the MISS Foundation.

Jackie lost her first born child, her son AJ, in 1983 after his 4 year illness fighting cancer.

She lives in NJ and has two grown daughters. She thinks of her 3 children in this way: "two that walk and one who soars" (with thanks to Dr. Joanne Cacciatore).




Nancy Lavoie, RN, CBC, has been a certified Hospice nurse (RN) for over 24 years. During this time she has participated in numerous continuing education courses on death, dying and grief support. She worked as a Chaplin providing support for HIV clients and their families. She is an active member of a parish community where she participated in a service providing Pastoral Care for community members. She is retired and is a certified Provider in Compassionate Bereavement Counseling and Care for Traumatic Loss for the MISS Foundation.





Tom Senegeto, CBC,
is a past team member of 'Beginning Experience', an organization that runs grief weekends for men and women who have experienced a loss in their lives. He has lead numerous support groups for those who have suffered losses and also a support group for children, who have had one of their parents die. He is currently a volunteer for Hospice, visiting terminally ill patients in their homes and working with their families through the process of dying. Tom is a certified Provider in Compassionate Bereavement Counseling & Care granted through the MISS Foundation.





Pat McGlade, R.N., CBC, is health care provider with extensive experience in the fields of Home Care, Hospice and Faith Community Nursing. An ardent subscriber to holistic care, she is a certified IGM practitioner and student of Healing Touch. Participating in Dr. Joanne Cacciatore’s Compassionate Bereavement Care certification training provides the opportunity to walk alongside and more fully support those experiencing traumatic grief.
